About Us
My name is Teah Smith, founder of Safe & Sound. Safe & Sound started from a simple prayer, asking God to show me and my husband, Cody, how we can minister to foster families, foster children, and other agencies. He simply placed this vision in our hearts and everything else fell into place.
We have worked hard to make Safe & Sound Foster Services a registered 501 (c)(3). Take comfort in knowing all donations we receive go directly to children going into foster care. Any monetary donations go toward purchasing bags or needed items for bags. All items donated go directly in to bags being donated.

Our Mission
On any given day, there are approximately 437,500 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with very little, sometimes, just the clothes on their backs. If they do have any personal belongings, they could be given a trash bag in which to carry them.
At Safe & Sound, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of dignity. Every child deserves to pack their belongings in a special bag that they can call their very own.
It is our hope and dream that every child who enters into a new placement would receive a bag filled with all the things they would want and need to get them through the traumatic transition into foster care.
